In the spirit of giving during Christmas Season, 16 children & their caretakers from Jumble Station were invited to Summit Hotel Subang USJ for a lunch treat at Oceania Buffet Restaurant on 19th December 2012. This event is hosted by Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel to celebrate those less fortunate on the festive season. Both hotel management & JCC members sang Christmas Carols to entertain the children. The highlight of the day was Movie Time at Golden Screen Cinema, Summit Complex where they enjoy watching Life of Pi. Before sending off the children, each of them received cash packet and a special goodie bag. To expand the spirit of giving, the hotels also sending over sundry goods and goodie bag to unfortunate children of Shechen Home. They also received cash contribution, proceeds from a Teddy Bear Selling Campaign to hotel guests held earlier.
The Children's home at Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan in Petaling Jaya was filled with chatter and laughter when the staff and management team from Summit Hotel Subang USJ dropped in for Deepavali recently. A total of 20 staffs, together with Head of Departments turned up celebrate the Festival of Lights with 35 children of the home.
The children have a fun time play a few games organized by the hotel's staff and even perform songs to entertain the staffs. They also taught the elders how to dance to 'Gangnam' Style a popular Korean song.
All children & their guardian were treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch specially catered to the home. The home also received cash contribution that being donated by hotel guests from Teddy Bear Selling Campaign that being conducted at the hotel every year.
Besides bringing groceries needed by the home, each child received cash packet and goodie bag. Before bid goodbye, the children have a special 'Jai-ho' dance performance as a token of appreciation to the hotel management.

In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, 52 children (3 to 17 years old) from Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih, a home for the less privileged based in Puchong were invited to Summit Hotel Subang USJ on 24th July 2012 for a breaking fast dinner treat at Oceania Buffet Restaurant. This event was hosted by Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel yearly for the less fortunate on this holy month.
They were welcomed and attended by Summit Hotels & Resorts Group General Manager, Mr. Lam Hin Choon, Group Director of Operation Mr. Muhaiyuddin, Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel Residence Manager Mr. Ahmad Idrus, heads of department and staff.
The children had fun learning how to make bed during the bed-making demonstration by the housekeeping staff while on a hotel tour before the dinner.
After a hearty dinner, each off the children received 'Duit Raya' and a goodie bag while sundries food items were handed over to the home before the group photo-session and farewell.
Summit Hotel Subang USJ also hosted Berbuka Puasa event for their staff & family on 25th July together with the hotel's 2nd quarter management & staff gathering at their Grand Ballroom. The ballroom is decorated with kampung style to bring the Hari Raya spirit alive.
To embraces the spirit of Ramadan, the hotel distributed bubur lambuk to the public in Subang USJ on 27th July & 8 August at the hotel's open air car park. This annual charity project held by the hotel was part of the activities to mark Ramadan and aimed in strengthening closeness with the local community.

In support of the National Blood Centre, Summit Hotel Subang USJ organised a blood donation campaign on 17th January 2012. Six representatives from National Blood Centre were present to conduct this 'Give Blood & Save a Life' campaign and ensure everything ran according to plan. 50 employees & frequent donors registered as blood donors during the campaign. This campaign gave hotel employees the opportunity to do their bit for charity.
In conjunction with Chinese New Year, staff of Summit Hotel Subang USJ spent their time bringing some cheer to senior citizens at Rumah Charis in Puchong on 20th January 2012. Yee sang tossing ceremony was the highlight of the day. Besides bringing groceries needed by the home, each resident also received angpow presented by Summit Hotels & Resorts Group General Manager, Mr. Lam Hin Choon. All Senior Citizens & their guardians were treated to a sumptuous hi-tea. Hotel's staff also painted the kitchen door & does some house chores in time for the Lunar New Year. The residents happily assist the hotel's staff decorates the house with Chinese New Year decoration like lanterns, pineapple & dragon ornaments.
