CHRISTMAS CHARITY LUNCH & MOVIE DAY-OUT
In the spirit of giving during Christmas Season, 20 children & their caretakers from City Revival Community Service Berhad were invited to Summit Hotel Subang USJ for a lunch treat at Oceania Buffet Restaurant on 16th December 2011. This event is hosted by Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel to celebrate those less fortunate on the festive season. Both hotel management & JCC members sang Christmas Carols to entertain the children and one of the hotel’s staff perform Magic Show tricks. The highlight of the day was Movie Time at Golden Screen Cinema, Summit Complex. They enjoy watching Happy Feet 2, adorable penguins that can sing and dance. Before sending off the children, each of them received cash packet and a special goodie bag with their name attached on it and sundries for the homes.
Deepavali Charity Celebration
In conjunction with Deepavali, The Festival of Light, Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel brought a ray of lights and happiness to some 20 children from Rumah K.I.D.S and also children from single mothers in USJ 1 on 29 October 2011.
Their day started with a dip in the hotel's pool on a bright sunny day. The children were so excited and happy frolicking in the pool that their caretakers had a hard time getting them out. They also have fun learning how to make bed during the bed making demonstration by the housekeeping staff while on hotel tour.
The children then treated to a scrumptious buffet high-tea of Traditional Indian dishes, cakes & sweets. But the hit among the kids were ice-cream that they continuously going for more. One of the hotel's staff entertained the children with Magic Show. They were so thrilled and able to learn some tricks that they keep asking for more.
This charity programme is part of Summit Hotels & Resorts Group's commitment towards the less fortunate community. Present at the event was Mr. Lam Hin Choon, Group General Manager for Summit Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Muhaiyuddin Ahmad Group Director of Operation and Mr. Anthony Wee, Hotel Manager for Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel accompanied by the Heads of Department.
Before sending off the children, each received a cash packet and a goodie bag. It's a wonderful feeling seeing smiles on their faces as they thanked the hotel's staff before leaving.
SUMMIT HOTEL SUBANG USJ NAMED OFFICIAL HOTEL PARTNER FOR MAGIC MIRROR THE MUSICAL 2011
Summit Hotel Subang USJ will be the official hotel partner for the "Magic Mirror The Musical 2011" organized by Yayasan Guan Yin to be staged at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur from 25th November 2011 to the 5th December 2011.
Endorsed by Tourism Ministry, Magic Mirror The Musical, is a stunningly colorful, and captivating musical stage performance combining artistes and talents both from Malaysia and China. The Musical which is about love and compassion is based on the story of Guan Yin in the Tang Dynasty. The aim of the musical is to raise fund for the foundation's various welfare and charity activities.

Bubur Lambuk treats to the community
Summit Hotel Subang USJ embraces the spirit of the Ramadan with distribution of bubur lambuk to the public in Subang USJ on 12 & 19 August 2011 at the hotel's open-air car park.
This annual charity project held by the hotel during the fasting month was part of the activities to mark Ramadan and aimed to strengthening closeness with the local community in the spirit of giving and living in a responsible and receptive society.
Members of the public were informed of distribution of the ever popular dish for Ramadhan through banner at the distribution area prior to the dates.
This program involved both Muslims and non-Muslim staff to enhance the spirit of togetherness among hotel's staff. The team led by Executive Chef Faizal started cooking the bubur lambuk from 12 noon in order to be ready for distribution at 4.00pm.
On 13th August 2011, in conjunction of Kempen Balik Kampung - Rumah Selamat crime-prevention programme launching ceremony, the hotel also contributes 200 packets of bubur lambuk to Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Subang Jaya.
Majlis Amal Berbuka Puasa Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel
Eighty-five children ranging age from 6 months to 17 years old from Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih, a home for the less privileged based in Puchong were invited to Summit Hotel Subang USJ on 3rd August 2011 for a breaking fast dinner treat at Oceania Buffet Restaurant. This event is hosted by Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel for the less fortunate on this holy month. The children were entertained by Ghazal performance from Kumpulan Budaya Suara Klasik "Samsudin Lamin" having special appearance throughout fasting month at Oceania Buffet Restaurant. The children responded by giving a special performance and dedicated songs as a token of appreciation to the hotel management. They were welcomed and attended by Summit Hotels & Resorts Group General Manager, Mr. Lam Hin Choon, Group Director of Operation Mr. Muhaiyuddin, Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel Residence Manager Mr. Anthony Wee, heads of departments and staff. The hotels presented the children with 'Duit Raya' and sundry goods and some cash for the home in addition to the scrumptious dinner.
Samsudin Lamin entertained the children with selections of Ghazal songs.

Lion Dance & Acrobatic Performance Welcoming Rabbit Year
To usher in the Year of Rabbit, Summit Hotel Subang USJ invited a lion dance troupe to bless the hotel as well as treat its guest to a live show on 10th February 2011. Moving to the loud sound of cymbals, drums and gongs, the lions danced and pranced in sync with the music, mesmerizing the audience. Lion dance performance was an annual affair at Summit Hotel Subang USJ.
Before the main event, the agile lions usher in good luck and prosperity by going around the lobby and other parts of the hotel. They presented the hotel's Group Director of Operation, Mr. Muhaiyuddin with a platter of lettuce leaves, pomelo and Mandarin oranges.
Visitors who had gathered to catch the lion dance performance also received Mandarin oranges.
Chinese New Year Charity Chinese New Year Charity Visit - Rumah Charis
On 29 January 2011, The Summit Hotel Subang USJ & Peninsula Residence All Suite Hotel brought cheer to senior citizens at Rumah Charis in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.
As many elderly folks in nursing homes do not get the opportunity to celebrate with their families during this festive season, the hotel's management took the initiative to show their appreciation and respect towards the elderly community by hosting hi-tea and share the joy with them.
Twenty volunteers from both hotels treated the elderly residents to a sumptuous meal & Yee Sang tossing ceremony. The residents were each presented with 'Ang Pow' and sundry goods for the home.
